A new step in research and innovation for the digital future.

In order to further strengthen its innovative strength and competitiveness in an increasingly digitalized market environment, aixit GmbH is joining the Software Innovation Campus Paderborn (SICP) as a new member. The SICP offers a platform on which companies and research institutions can jointly develop new technological solutions and sustainable concepts. By becoming a member, aixit intends to take its own commitment to research and development to a new level and provide valuable impetus for digital transformation through cooperation in an interdisciplinary network.

What is the SICP?

The Software Innovation Campus Paderborn (SICP) is a research and innovation network in which the University of Paderborn and other partners, in particular companies and research institutions, participate as members of the SICP. The SICP establishes a cooperation model for research and innovation that builds on the existing strengths and expertise of Paderborn University and the other members and implements the idea of a research campus. In the SICP, competencies are bundled both professionally and organizationally in order to research and develop innovative and practice-relevant solutions in a cooperative manner.

What does aixit expect from its mebership?

“aixit is very pleased to now be a member of the SICP. As an innovative provider of digital infrastructures, I see cooperation with the SICP as a great opportunity to intensify our own activities in the field of research and development. So far, we have created innovative solutions without explicitly describing this as “research”. By participating in research projects and tenders in the field of digital technologies, we want to gain new perspectives and develop further,” explains Holger Grauer, Managing Partner of aixit GmbH, adding: ”The exchange within the SICP network is a valuable opportunity to work together with other members and benefit from their experience. The cooperation with SICP member company WestfalenWIND IT and their pioneering windCORES project has shown us how relevant it is to the business to continue to drive forward sustainable technologies and how enriching an exchange about the technological challenges can be. This strengthens our commitment to working on innovative and sustainable solutions for the future within the SICP network.”

What opportunities does the SICP offer?

“Our member companies have the opportunity to intensify their cooperation with the participating scientists at Paderborn University, but also with the other companies in the SICP, to contribute their requirements to the research and development of the SICP and to benefit from the results, to make their brand and profile better known within the university and to position themselves as potential employers. In addition, access to the university's various scientific competencies is significantly simplified for our member companies,” says Prof. Dr. Stefan Sauer, Managing Director of the SICP, explaining the reasons for membership.
